I want to share my experience of being a part of Parinati's Scholarship program. I am indeed very glad and happy to be a part of it as it has enabled me to realize that we can make a difference in someones life and especially to a child for whom this world can turn out to be a friend or a foe.
It was through my sister that I came to know about this Girl named "Supriya" who is promoted to IVth Standard this year at HBP Indian School, Bangalore 560001. She is the second daughter of Uma who is working in General Post Office as an external member (contract basis) and Manohar who is a caterer in Bangalore. Their annual income put together is not sufficient to provide a quality education to their daughters. When my sister informed about Parinati's program to the parents of the child, they expressed their difficulty and the desperation of educating their daughters. Their eyes were filled with tears as they spoke the gravity of their situation and the long silence that endued there after expressed it all.
The Response I Saw from Parinati
I was deeply moved by the response I saw from all the members of Parinati who is totally dedicated to this one cause "To help a child to Transform their future". The moment this student came to their notice, in very less time the profile was seriously discussed and a decision was made to help the second daughter "Supriya" and the cheque of INR 3945/- which was the Annual fees of the child including the cost of all books was handed over to the parents.
The Reaction of Supriya's Parents!!
Supriya's Mother called me and expressed her gratitude and told how much this meant to them and the amount of burden that was relieved from their shoulders and yet again the words seemed too weak for her to convey the outburst of her heart. I was so fortunate and felt myself lucky to be a means for Parinati in its endeavor such as this, that is helping students like Supriya by providing a small brick to step into their bright future.
Thanks to all of you who is a part of this significant cause which I believe will make Parinati to gift many more bricks to step on, to many more deserving students.
